Thanks for the step-by-step. I have a friend who just started throwing all her chopped cilantro into a container in the freezer, and pulling it out to use in stuff all year. It seems to work fine that way, but I like the idea of having the herbs slightly blanched–that does seem to really improve certain things for freezing. Will give it a try, thanks! Now to find an ice cube tray…

Brilliant! I just put a baggie of basil in the freezer and am hoping it will be ok when I need to pull it out. I like this method too.
